I fell in love with gouache paintings with a whimsy touch when I discovered Ruth Wilshaw.
It's my first attempt at creating an illustration with a whimsical accent
Inspired by Ruth Wilshaw and her book "Creative Gouache" I tried to get a gouache effect in my digital illustration. I think I did it. I'm nicely surprised with the final look.
That's why experimenting is so astonishing.

Some days ago we visited the garage of my uncle. It was so wonderful to see all the colourful cars. Hearing him talking about the projects (repair and build) and each individual car really inspired me. This day really inspired me to start drawing this. Sloths have an unusual method of camouflage. Cracks in their hair allow many different species of algae and fungi to grow which makes them appear green. Some species of fungi living in sloth fur have been found to be active against certain strains of bacteria, cancer and parasites! Sloth hair also provides home to an entire ecosystem of invertebrates — some species of which are found nowhere else on earth (like the ‘sloth moth’).
